Five Martini Friday

This is it. The tradition for my girlfriends. We're old enough to be MILF's but not quite old enough to be cougars. Friday night has always been girls night. That's not derogatory, quite frankly we'll always be "girls" to each other.

Friday nights are to relax, let down our guard and to tell war stories about our week. When we were much younger, we made battle plans for the weekend and talked about boys. We married those boys and weekends usually consist of housework but we still value our time together.

I am the only one who works in the real estate/ mortgage business. Not too long ago I held the envy of all the five martini girls. I had a career I loved, a man I loved and was making money hand over fist. I usually picked up the tab.

I no longer hold bragging rights to the best career or the most money. My Volvo has been trumped by the Audi 6. It has taken the better part of one year to realize that I still have a career I love, a man I love AND THE MONEY WILL BE BACK so I still have bragging rights.

In the best of times it is so easy to take for granted all the things you love. It takes the hard times and the challenges to really appreciate what is real and worthwhile.

So I'm off to have # 4 and give that man of mine a kiss. The girls understand. I'll catch y'all after # 5.

Beth,,,,,  can I hand out with you girls next time?   ;o)   I sure do love a good martini... and I am sure tha man of yours won't mind... hell, bring him along. Tell him that he was mentioned in my week in review a few weeks ago and never stopped by.  lol   Have a great weekend and enjoy those martinis...  but seriously, in the best of times, it is sometimes easy to take things for granted. Again, have a great weekend...

PS.... I just decided to pull out my 15 yr old scotch that a client just sent me a few days ago and a good cigar. Thanks...

He's working his way through a nice bottle of Glenmorangie 13 but it's almost gone... have agreat weekend and give us a call next week.

Yo Forbes... since we are on a first name basis... lol   Hey, I feel liked and loved when someone calls me by my last name. So, what is 5MF?  But on the 19th?   You know what... I haven't been up to the Allentown area in a long time, so I guess I could make the trip....  and yes, I am enjoying my cigar and ____________....since Scott can't know.   ;o)    And don't tease me about a dirty martini...  especially anything dirty... lol  And tell Scott... it's a bottle of Glenlivet French Oak Reserve... 15 yrs old

On another note....  I still want to talk to you about what your company can offer....unless Scott doesn't want to share his secret weapon....  ;o)  You all enjoy your night...

Money comes, money goes. No big deal, as long as you have enough food to eat and a roof over your head. The important things in life " a career I love, a man I love"

See Beth, it's kind of fun.  I like to compare it to drunken dialing;-)

"Not old enough to be cougars..."

That is hysterical, Beth. I know some friends who are past cougar-prime. Some are shaking with the mange. Well, since we're dialed into late Friday night confessions I have never finished a martini. Something about 100% alcohol. I guess I'm just a Jack Daniels-spike-juice-box 'kid.' Regards to Scott :)
